Dear Friends,
I woke early this morning and couldn't get back to sleep, because my mind was active, so I decided to get up and write.  When I opened my blog I noticed the top post in my blog list, from Florida Dom, and clicked on it.  Then I spent a half hour or so reading his blog.  I decided to post a comment on his hands post, but when I clicked on "publish comment" I got a screen telling me "your google account does not have access to this page.  Please sign out and sign back in with another account."  Huh?  Can somebody tell me what is going on?  Obviously I have been absent from the blogging world for several months.  What changed?

Also, every time I look at my blog the top right corner says "sign in" rather than displaying my google ID.  As I write this post my ID is there, but when I read it on the blog page it is gone.  :(
Thanks,
Maryann

Dear Maryann

Google updated its Blogger software in mid-May and a lot of people had problems around that time. e.g. Sara wrote about it:

HELP…SOS…Blogger hates me!

Perhaps if you haven't been active (I mean blogging *blush*) you're experiences might be linked to that.

Best wishes

PL

Blogger hates us all! You have to go back into your blogger account and update your sign-in info and it will make you link your aol account with your google account (or it did me) and then sign-in ever after in a longer more complicated way that is a real pain!

Good luck, Sara

Thanks PL and Sara. I'm not too excited about the hassle. It looks like they want me to create a 2 step verification process that involves my phone and entering codes that change monthly. eeerrrrg
Oh well. It is what it is. Guess I just can't make comments on other blogs. That stinks.
Anyway, thanks for the information.

Hi - I'm a first time commenter on your lovely blog. I'm new to the D/s world, exploring my submissive side.

I just wanted to let you know, this happened to me too in Blogger. I resolved it by going into compatibility mode and unchecking (or checking), just do the opposite of what is there in compatibility mode (turn on/off) and then relog into blogger. It should work fine after that! It was very frustrating for me!

Take care, I'm enjoying your blog.
